Story Notes: Warning: Character Death. Snerk. Clark could feel the waves of hatred emanating from the water bottle in Lex’s hand. He’d never thought inanimate objects had feelings before, but Smallville was a weird town. Clark stared at the long, pale fingers that curved around the smooth blue surface. So maybe it would be considered an abuse of his powers… so what? Some things were worth fighting for. He cleared his throat.<\/p>\n “Are you okay, Clark?” Lex’s concern burned Clark’s conscience like Tiger Balm, but it was too late to turn back now.<\/p>\n “Just a little something in my throat,” Clark coughed.<\/p>\n Lex raised one smooth brow, and handed Clark the bottle. “Here,” he said, “take a sip of this to wash it down.”<\/p>\n Clark smiled slightly, taking the bottle in his hand, marvelling at the power he felt surging through him. He took a small drink, faked a cough, and crushed his rival with his superhuman strength. His sensitive ears could just barely detect the bottle’s last gasping words… “bitch”.
